LINN RECORDS

Linn Records is part of Linn Products, a company that made turntables. As the test records used by the company were of poor quality, the company was looking for a high quality record to use as a test record and therefore released two records in 1983, by Carole Kidd and The Blue Nile. This was the beginning of Linn Records, a record label that released audiophile records, soon including CDs. The label received the Record Label of the Year award at the Gramophone Awards in 2010.
