HATOLOGY
The label Hatology is part of Hathut Records, a Swiss company founded in 1974 by Werner Xavier Uehlinger, with a focus on avant-garde jazz music. Known for its distinctive packaging and early releases featuring Joe McPhee, the label’s roster expanded to include major avant-garde artists like Anthony Braxton and Cecil Taylor. Acquired by Outhere Music in 2017, Hatology remains a significant name in the experimental jazz scene.
